The Workvivo Story

Workvivo by Zoom was founded in 2017 by CEO John Goulding and CTO Joe Lennon on a strong desire to improve the working experience of every employee on the planet. Launch

Workvivo was founded in 2017 by CEO John Goulding and CTO Joe Lennon on a strong desire to improve the working experience of every employee on the planet.

With their extensive first-hand experience in creating successful HR technology, they had come to see the challenges and opportunities evident in employee engagement.

They founded Workvivo with the sole mission to build a different employee communication platform geared to elevate the employee experience for everyone.

2019 - 2020

Reached 100 Customers

In 2018, after signing their first customer, Morgan McKinley, Workvivo was rapidly establishing itself as the industry-leading solution for all things employee experience.

In 2019, only two years post-inception, a remarkable milestone was met: Workvivo had 100 loyal customers. This surge in patronage underscored the company's burgeoning reputation and affirmed its value proposition.

2021 - 2022

Funding and Strategic Customer Signings

In 2020, the notable addition of Telus International to its clientele further solidified the company's presence in the market. The achievement was complemented by a swift and successful Series A funding round, securing an impressive $16 million.

In 2022, Workvivo announced $22 million in new funding led by Tiger Global. The new funding more than tripled the value of the company.

These developments not only fortified its financial standing but also solidified Workvivo's reputation as the leading employee experience platform.

2023 - Now

Continued Growth & Zoom Acquisition

With impressive customer signings such as Virgin, Motherson, Ryanair, Dollar General, and more, Workvivo continues to grow, assuming it's role as an industry leading employee experience platform.

In April of 2023, tech giant Zoom acquired Workvivo to bolster their employee experience offering. The power of Workvivo’s employee experience platform, with its robust communications and engagement features, combined with Zoom’s all-in-one collaboration platform, allows organizations to fully unlock the potential of their employees and evolve their company culture.

Looking forward, Workvivo's goals remain the same: to improve the working experience of every employee on the planet.
